Betsy Suppes 

Ammonite Senior Consultant Betsy Suppes was elected President of the International Institute of Mineral Appraisers (IIMA) at the Society of Mining Metallurgy and Exploration annual meeting held in Salt Lake City in February. She will serve the IIMA as its president for two years. Betsy presented a paper at the conference entitled, “Case Studies in Appraisals: When a Decade Makes a Difference Using Land Bonus and Comparable Sales Approach to Value.” Suppes has been credentialed as a Certified Minerals Appraiser with the International Institute of Minerals Appraisers since 2020. She has brought a number of projects into the Ammonite fold for which our firm’s consultants have provided appraisals of mineral interests and served as expert witnesses in litigation matters.

Suppes has been the principal of Forgedale Consulting Inc., an oil and gas consulting firm based in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, since 2005.   She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Dickinson College and her Masters of Science and an MBA from Tulane University.  Betsy is a Certified Petroleum Geologist with the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and a former Vice President and Treasurer of the New Orleans Geological Society.
