April 6th through11th Ammonite’s Managing Partner Skip Hobbs participated in a 5-day geological field trip to Death Valley that was sponsored by the Geological Society of America Foundation. Skip is a GSA Fellow. Hobbs had never been to Death Valley and said that the trip had been on his “bucket list”. The trip not only focused on the well-exposed complex regional geology, but also on the unique Mohave Desert ecosystems.
