Natural Resource Litigation
Ammonite has a very active natural resource litigation advisory practice, serving as “behind-the-scenes” investigators and advisors to counsel, and as expert witnesses when appropriate. We have provided analysis and interpretation of technical and economic facts of matters in litigation, and the representations made by the litigants about these facts. We have investigated alleged securities fraud, as well as violations of mining license operational, environmental and social contract regulations. Ammonite also supplies special expertise for “after-the-fact” review in disciplines such as mineral geostatistics, mining engineering, and mining environmental issues. We undertake only a few such engagements at a time, thereby enabling us to deploy senior expertise in a timely manner for our client’s requirements.
